For those of us without greenhouses or bountiful, sunny windows, grow lights are necessary for optimal succulent and cactus growth. Although I personally use CFL tube lights sometimes, I mostly recommend LEDs. They don't run hot, are cheaper, save money on electricity, and can get reeaaally bright.
